Dory boat and other diy projects

Dory boats were named for the fish known as dories.
The dory boat is a small, shallow draft boat, about 15 to 22 feet long. It’s a light and versatile boat with high sides, flat bottom and sharp bow and stern. Dory boats are easy to build because of their simple lines and have been used in coastal waters and in the open ocean.

Traditional types include Beach dories, Banks dories, Sailing dories, River dories and Motor dories. If you want to build a dory boat you can choose from any of those styles.

How to tips are something everyone can use. How to do it yourself and save money too, is great in any economy. DIY is fairly simple and you can find great how to instructions, with pics and or videos, all over the internet. I am a do it yourself type of person and I’ve learned how to do it through books, the internet and through videos. Doing things yourself is not that hard and you can learn how to do it and do it very well with most diy projects.

Fear of not doing a good job seems to be the sticking point for most people who would like to do it themselves. However, if you normally do an excellent job of what ever you are doing then doing it yourself will come out good too. Mostly it’s being patient and not trying to force anything.
