Not long ago I had the misfortune of bumping into a car that stopped short in front of me. Living in Long Island, New York which is a no-fault state didn’t send me into a panic about the fact that I was the driver in the rear. However, the driver of the car I hit seemed to have other ideas. The first thing I saw was her phone to her ear and I assumed she was calling a Long Island Accident and Personal Injury Lawyer.
However, she had just taken her phone with her in order to take a picture of the rear end of her car. How I wished that these kinds of gadgets existed way back when I first started to drive and got into the first of a few rear end collisions. Back then it was just one person’s word against the other person. When you’re a new driver, it’s not likely that your word is going to mean much.
When people make fun of me because I won’t get in my car to go only a few blocks without being sure I have my phone, it’s with the thought in mind of how smart that young lady was to snap a picture. Lucky for me, there was no real damage to her car, but just to be safe, I used my phone to call a Long Island personal injury lawyer.
